WHEREAS, bids were received for furnishing fire and
police uniforms for the Fire and Police Department; and,
WHEREAS, Kaufman Uniform Company of San Antonio
submitted a bid in the amount of $10,224.00; and,
WHEREAS, Factory Sales Company of Houston submitted a
bid in the amount of $35,938.60; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the
bids submitted by Kaufman Uniform Company and Factory Sales
Company should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bids of Kaufman Uniform Company and Factory Sales Company
in the amounts stated above be accepted by the City of Beaumont,
and the City Manager is hereby authorized to make payment for same
upon acceptable delivery .
