WHEREAS, bids were received for furnishing three (3 )
1500 GPM Pumpers and one (1) 100 ft. aerial ladder truck for the
Fire Department; and,
WHEREAS, Mack Trucks, Inc. submitted a bid for purchase
of the 1500 GPM Pumpers in the amount of $117,210 .00 each; and,
WHEREAS, American LaFrance Company submitted a bid for
the purchase of the aerial ladder truck in the amount of
$253,444.00; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the
bids submitted by Mack Trucks, Inc. and American LaFrance
Company should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bids of Mack Trucks, Inc. and American LaFrance Company
are hereby accepted by the City of Beaumont, and the City
Manager is hereby authorized to pay for same upon acceptable
delivery .
