CITY OF BEAUMONT REPEALING SCHEDULES A
THROUGH E AND ENACTING NEW SCHEDULES A
THROUGH F IN SCHOOL ZONES; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING FOR REPEAL AND
PROVIDING A PENALTY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
Section 1.
That Chapter 26, Section 26-24, Schedules A through E, inclusive of the Code of
Ordinances of the City of Beaumont be, and the same are hereby repealed and the
following schedules A through F are enacted to read as follows:
SCHEDULE A
In accordance with this section, and when signs are erected giving notice thereof, the
prima facie speed limit shall be twenty (20) miles per hour in the following zones between
the hours of 7:30 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 4:15 p.m., Monday through Friday, on
schooldays.

west of the centerline of Winston.

facie speed limit shall be twenty (20) miles per hour in the following zones between the
hours of 6:45 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. and 4:45 p.m., Monday through Thursday
and between the hours of 6:45 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. on
Fridays, on school days.

centerline of Glenwood.
Section 2.
That if any section, subsection, sentence clause or phrase of this ordinance, or the
application of same to a particular set of persons or circumstances should, for any reason,
be held to be invalid, such invalidity shall not affect the remaining portions of this
ordinance, and, to such end, the various portions and provisions of this ordinance are
declared to be severable.
Section 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are repealed to the
extent of the conflict only.
Section 4.
That any person who violates any provision of this ordinance shall, upon conviction,
be punished, as provided in Section 1-8 of the Code of Ordinances of Beaumont, Texas.
