ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE BUDGET OF
THE CITY OF BEAUMONT FOR THE FISCAL PERIOD
OCTOBER 1, 1995 TO SEPTEMBER 30, 1996 TO
APPROPRIATE $50,000 FROM THE CONTINGENT
APPROPRIATION TO THE "CITY COUNCIL - CONTRACT
SERVICES" LINE ITEM IN THE GENERAL FUND;
PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY AND PROVIDING FOR
REPEAL.
WHEREAS, the Beaumont Independent School District Board of Trustees has
requested the City of Beaumont to participate in a pilot after school Extended Day Program
at Blanchette and French Elementary Schools. The Beaumont Independent School District
is requesting that the City contractually commit $50,000 as its part of the cooperative pilot
program;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED
BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
Section 1.
THAT$50,000 is hereby appropriated from the contingent appropriation in the 1995 Fiscal
Budget, to the "City Council - Contract Services" Departmental Appropriation. This transfer
is declared to be an established emergency as an unforseen item of expenditure.
Section 2.
That if any section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase of this ordinance, or the
application of same to a particular set of persons or circumstances should for any reason
be held to be invalid, such invalidity shall not affect the remaining portions of this
ordinance, and to such end the various portions and provisions of this ordinance are
declared to be severable.
Section 3.
That any person who violates any provision of this ordinance shall, upon conviction,
be punished as provided in Section 1-8 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of
Beaumont, Texas.
