WHEREAS, on August 25, 1998, the City Council approved a Section 108 loan in
the amount of $2,000,000 for the renovation of the Hotel Beaumont; and,
WHEREAS, the National Development Council is requesting an additional
$1,175,000 of Section 108 funds;
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute documents to make $1,175,000
available to the National Development Council through a grant to be repaid by the City with
Community Development Block Grant funds over a 20-year period.
