WHEREAS, on Monday, November 2, 1998, sealed bids were received for the
purchase and installation of chain link fencing for the following Water Utilities sites: the
prison pump station located on Highway 69, the southwest water tank located on
Washington Boulevard, the pump house at the Water Production Plant on Pine Street, the
waterworks canal located on the north side of Marina Drive, and the water facility at Bunn's
Bluff; and,
WHEREAS, Cardinal Fence Company, Beaumont, Texas submitted a bid in the
amount of$31,265.00; and
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Cardinal Fence
Company, Beaumont, Texas should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Cardinal Fence Company, Beaumont, Texas in the amount of
$31,265.00 for the purchase and installation of chain link fencing for the following Water
Utilities sites: the prison pump station located on Highway 69, the southwest water tank
located on Washington Boulevard, the pump house at the Water Production Plant on Pine
Street, the waterworks canal located on the north side of Marina Drive, and the water
facility at Bunn's Bluff be accepted by the City of Beaumont.
