WHEREAS, the lawsuit of Andre Jones v. City of Beaumont, has been discussed
in an Executive Session properly called and held Tuesday, November 3, 1998; and,
WHEREAS, the Council desires to authorize the settlement of the lawsuit;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Attorney be, and he is hereby, authorized to settle the lawsuit of Andre
Jones v. City of Beaumont, in the amount of Sixty-Eight Thousand One Hundred Seventy-
Eight and 88/100 ($68,178.88) Dollars.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the day of
1998.
