WHEREAS, on Monday, October 26, 1998, sealed bids were received for the
purchase of PVC pipe to be used by the Water Distribution of Water Utilities to extend two
(2) water lines; and,
WHEREAS, Moore Supply Company, Beaumont, Texas submitted a bid in the
amount of$34,865 as shown:
12"x 20'PVC Pipe 8"x 20'PVC Pipe
Unit Price Ext.Price Unit Price Ext.Price
$6.05/ft $32,065.00 $2.80/ft $2,800.00
and
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Moore Supply
Company, Beaumont, Texas should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Moore Supply Company, Beaumont, Texas in the amount of
$34,865 for the purchase of PVC pipe to be used by the Water Distribution of Water
Utilities to extend two (2) water lines be accepted by the City of Beaumont.
