WHEREAS bids were received on October 5, 1998 for the Concord Road Pavement
Widening Project - Phase I; and,
WHEREAS, Hart Construction, Inc. submitted a bid in the amount of $2,692,324.26;
and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Hart
Construction, Inc. should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Hart Construction, Inc. in the amount of $2,692,324.26 for the
Concord Road Pavement Widening Project- Phase I be accepted by the City of Beaumont.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is authorized to execute a contract
with Hart Construction, Inc. in the amount of $2,692,324.26.
