WHEREAS, on Monday, September 28, 1998, sealed bids were received for
furnishing an annual contract to provide asphaltic concrete used by the Public Works
Department/Streets and Drainage Division for street repairs; and,
WHEREAS, APAC-Texas submitted a bid in the amounts shown below:

Hot Mix/Cold Laid Asphaltic Concrete, FOB Jobsite $28.28
and
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by APAC-Texas
should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by APAC-Texas in the amounts shown above for an approximate
annual expenditure of$99,060 be accepted by the City of Beaumont.
