WHEREAS, on November 10, 1997, the City Council of the City of Beaumont,
Texas, awarded a contract to Bo-Mac Contractors, Inc., in the amount of$1,536,706.38
for the 1997 Street Rehabilitation Program; and
WHEREAS, during the course of the project, Change Order No. 1 was approved
by Council due to the limitation of available funds, decreasing the contract amount to
$1,135,996.96 ; and
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 2 In the amount of ($13,758.58) as shown on
attached Exhibit "A" is required to adjust the estimated quantities to reflect the quantities
actually used during the performance of the project. This change order decreases the
contract amount to $1,122,238.38;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby authorized, to execute Change Order No. 2
in the amount of ($13,758.58). The project, as stated above, be and the same is herein
accepted and the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to make final payment in
the amount of$60,082.92 be paid to Bo-Mac Contractors, Inc.
