WHEREAS, on Monday, August 24, 1998, sealed bids were received for the
purchase and installation of carpet and vinyl flooring in four (4) locations: the Fire
Headquarters Building at 400 Walnut Street, the Health Service I and Health Department
Administration Buildings at 950 Washington Boulevard, and the former Police Department
Special Services Division (SSD) Building at 780 South Fourth Street; and,
WHEREAS, Orange County Building Materials, Inc. submitted a bid in the amount
of Seventeen-Thousand, Nine-Hundred Eighty ($17,980.00) Dollars; and
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Orange County
Building Materials, Inc. should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Orange County Building Materials, Inc. in the amount of
Seventeen-Thousand, Nine-Hundred Eighty ($17,980.00) Dollars for the purchase and
installation of carpet and vinyl flooring in four(4) locations: the Fire Headquarters Building
at 400 Walnut Street, the Health Service I and Health Department Administration Buildings
at 950 Washington Boulevard, and the former Police Department Special Services Division
(SSD) Building at 780 South Fourth Street should be accepted by the City of Beaumont.
