WHEREAS sealed bids were received on Monday, August 24, 1998 for an annual
contract to provide wrecker services for the Fleet Management Division and the Police
Department; and,
WHEREAS, TNT Wrecker Service, submitted a bid in the amounts shown below:
FLEET TOWING
Appx. 500 Towing-Light Duty $25.00 $12,500.00
Appx. 100 Towing-Heavy Duty $60.00 $6,000.00
Jump Start-Light Duty $20.00
Jump Start-Heavy Duty $20.00
Pull-Out-Light Duty $25.00
Pull-Out-Heavy Duty $60.00
Work Time 1/10th of an Hour $6.00
POLICE TOWING
Appx.40 Towing-Light Duty $25.00 $1,000.00
Appx. 10 Towing-Heavy Duty $75.00 $75.00
Grand Total $20,250.00
and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by TNT Wrecker
Service should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by TNT Wrecker Service in the amounts shown above be
accepted by the City of Beaumont.
