WHEREAS sealed bids were received on Monday, August 17, 1998 for the purchase of
337.5 feet of concrete box culverts for the Public Works Department, Engineering Division; and,
WHEREAS, Gifford Hill Concrete Products of Houston, Texas, submitted a bid in the
amount shown below:
Quantity DESCRIPTION UNIT PRICE TOTAL PRICE
337.5 feet 10'x 8'Concrete box culvert $296.86/foot $100,190.25
and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Gifford Hill Concrete
Products, Houston, Texas should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Gifford Hill Concrete Products, Houston, Texas for the purchase of
337.5 feet of concrete box culverts for the Public Works Department, Engineering Division in the
amount shown above be accepted by the City of Beaumont.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the ,t6�Vf day of
