WHEREAS, on Monday, July 13, 1998, sealed bids were received for providing a five (5)-
year financing agreement for the purchase of one (1) 1,500 gallon per minute fire pumper; and,
WHEREAS, Municipal Services Group, of Littleton, Colorado, submitted a bid for a five (5)-
year financing agreement in the amount of 59 basis points below the yield of the 5 3/4% Coupon
Treasury Note maturing August, 2003; and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Municipal Services
Group should be accepted,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Municipal Services Group for a five (5)-year financing agreement for
the purchase of one (1) 1,500 gallon per minute fire pumper in the amount of 59 basis points
below the yield of the 5 3/4% Coupon Treasury Notes maturing August, 2003 be accepted by the
City of Beaumont and the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a lease purchase
agreement for the 1,500 gallon per minute fire pumper.
