WHEREAS bids were received on July 27, 1998, for furnishing all labor, materials, supplies
and equipment to remove and dispose of all asbestos containing materials from the structure
located at 803 Neches in downtown Beaumont; and,
WHEREAS, Absolute Environmental Services, Houston, Texas submitted a bid in the
amount of $35,400 and with an alternative method of removal at $.60 per square foot, and;
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Absolute Environmental
Services, Houston, Texas, should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Absolute Environmental Services, Houston, Texas, in the amount of
$35,400 for furnishing all labor, materials, supplies and equipment to remove and dispose of all
asbestos containing materials from the structure located at 803 Neches in downtown Beaumont
be accepted by the City of Beaumont.
