WHEREAS, sealed bids were received Monday, July 13, 1998, for an annual
contract to furnish ready-mix concrete to be purchased by the Street and Drainage Division
and the Water Utilities Department; and,
WHEREAS, Transit Mix, Beaumont, Texas, submitted a bid in the amounts shown
below:

WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Transit Mix, Beaumont,
Texas, for an annual contract to furnish ready-mix concrete to be purchased by the Street and
Drainage Division and the Water Utilities Department should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Transit Mix, Beaumont, Texas, in the estimated annual cost of $54,000
for an annual contract to furnish ready-mix concrete to be purchased by the Street and Drainage
Division and the Water Utilities Department be accepted by the City of Beaumont.
