WHEREAS, Mobil Oil Corporation has requested the City to grant permission
to construct an eight-inch pipeline within an existing thirty-foot pipeline easement, as
described on Exhibit "A" attached hereto, for the transportation of Iso-Butane; and,
WHEREAS, Mobil Oil Corporation has offered to pay the City $200.00 per
rod, 6,847.90 feet (415.02 rods) for a total of $83,004.00 for the easement; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the execution of said pipeline
easement and is of the opinion that said pipeline easement is necessary and desirable and
that same should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to execute a pipeline easement
as described above to Mobil Oil Corporation, for consideration of $83,004.00.
