WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Beaumont, Texas, awarded a
contract to Canoma Construction Company in the amount of$1,030,000 for construction
work on Landfill Cell No. 1; and
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 in the amount of$2,711.85 [increasing the
contract amount to $1,032,711.85] is required to adjust the estimated quantities to reflect
final quantities actually used in the contract;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby authorized, to execute Change Order No.
1 increasing the contract in the amount of$2,711.85. The project, as stated above, be and
the same is herein accepted and the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to make
final payment in the amount of$51,635.59 to be paid to Canoma Construction Company.
