WHEREAS, on June 11, 1996, the City Council of the City of Beaumont,
Texas, awarded a contract to Crain Brothers, Inc. in the amount of$1,147,600.00 for the
Wastewater Treatment Facility Improvements; and
WHEREAS, during the course of the project, Change Order No. 1 approved
by City Council on November 14, 1996 for the amount of $84,918.00 for a total contract
amount of$1,232,518.00;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby authorized, to execute a Change Order No.
2 in the amount of$201,900.00. The project, as stated above, be and the same is herein
accepted and the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to make final payment in
the amount of$249,512.25 to Crain Brothers, Inc.
