WHEREAS, the Beaumont Independent School District wishes to file truancy cases
in the Beaumont Municipal Court; and
WHEREAS, permission of the Municipal Court is required prior to the filing of such
cases; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to accept the filing of such cases in its Municipal Court,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT
THAT the City's Municipal Court hereby grants permission for the filing by the Beaumont
Independent School District of truancy cases either under the Texas Family Code or the
Texas Education Code in the Municipal Court for the City of Beaumont.
