WHEREAS, on November 10, 1997, the City Council of the City of
Beaumont, Texas, awarded a contract to Bo-Mac Contractors, Inc. in the amount of
$1,536,706.38 for the 1997 Street Rehabilitation Program; and
WHEREAS, during the course of the project Change Order No. 1 is required
to reduce the original amount by $400,709.42 ;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby authorized, to execute Change Order No. 1
in the reduced amount of $400,709.42 reflecting the new contract amount to be
$1,135,996.96 as shown in Exhibit "A" attached hereto.

THE FOLLOWING CHANGES IN THE'PLANS AND/OR SPECIFICATIONS ARE.HEREBY MADE:
1. Delete Old Dowlen Road,Cottonwood,Milam,North Circuit,and Pevitot from the Contract
and the pertaining construction items. Total$235,582.61
2. Delete Sub-grade Lime Stabilization entirely. Total$187,991.95
3. Reduce$10,000.00 LS from Mobilization.
4. Add 42,682 SY of Frabric Undersea[for a Total of$32,865.14.
