WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Beaumont, Texas, awarded a
contract to Salenga Construction, Inc. in the amount of $203,737.56 for Miscellaneous
Paving Projects; and
WHEREAS, during the course of the project Change Order No. 1 is required
in the amount of $17,692.00 and the completion date for Phase I is extended from
November 21, 1997 to November 26, 1997 as described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby authorized, to execute Change Order No. 1
in the amount of$17,692.00 and to extend the completion date for Phase I from November
21, 1997 to November 26, 1997.

1. Adjust the following estimated quantities due to the discovery of unexpected subsurface
conditions as follows:
104-001 Remove old concrete paving - 650 SY
276-001 PC Treated Base(6") -670 SY
360-001 8"Concrete Pavement 930 SY
2. Modify completion date for Phase I from November 21,1997 to November 26,1997.
ORIGINAL CONTRACT AMOUNT: $ 203,737.56
NET FROM PREVIOUS CHANGE ORDERS: $ 203,737.56
TOTAL AMOUNT OF THIS CHANGE ORDER: $ 17,692.00
