WHEREAS, on Monday, October 27, 1997, bids were received for the purchase
of shelving and furniture for the Elmo Willard Branch Library ; and,
WHEREAS, the following companies submitted bids in the amounts shown;

Corporate Express, Beaumont, Texas and Office Furniture $17,453.88
Lobby and Lounge
Robert Weisz Office Furniture, Houston, Texas Furniture $29,933.00
Advanced Office Systems, Houston, Texas Metal Shelving $27,420.00
TOTAL
$74,806.88
and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bids submitted by the three above
shown companies should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bids submitted by Corporate Express, Beaumont, Texas in the amount of
$17,453.88, Robert Weisz Office Furniture, Houston, Texas in the amount of$29,399.00
and Advanced Office Systems, Houston, Texas in the amount of $27,420.00 for a total
amount of$74,806.88 be accepted by the City of Beaumont.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the �day of
