BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT
WHEREAS, City Council approved Resolution No. 97-84 on April 15, 1997 and
Resolution No. 97-202 on September 9, 1997; and,
WHEREAS, the resolutions were inaccurate concerning the amount of money
associated with the grant and the responsibility for the money;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED
BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT Resolution No. 97-84 and Resolution No. 97-202 are hereby repealed; and
THAT the City Manger is authorized to apply for and accept a grant for the continuation
of the Southeast Texas Auto Theft Task Force by way of execution of an inter-local
contract with the City of Port Arthur, Jefferson County and the Orange County District
Attorney.
