WHEREAS, bids were received for the purchase of three (3) utility trailers and two
(2) 10-ton tandem axle backhoe trailers to be used by the Water Utilities, Sewer
Maintenance Division for transporting equipment and materials to work sites; and,
WHEREAS, Smart's Truck and Trailer Equipment, Inc. submitted a bid in the
amount of$26,121.00; and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Smart's Truck
and Trailer Equipment, Inc. should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Smart's Truck and Trailer Equipment, Inc. for the purchase of
three (3) Perkins 16 ft. x 77 in. utility trailers at a cost of$2,957.00 each and two (2) 10-ton
axle backhoe trailers at a cost of$8,625.00 for a total amount of$26,121.00 be accepted
by the City of Beaumont.
