WHEREAS bids were received on Monday, August 18, 1997 for the purchase of one
(1) thirty-two (32) passenger bus for the Police Department's Community Resource
Program; and,
WHEREAS, Hemphill Bus Sales, Inc., Denton, Texas submitted a bid in the amount
of$62,105.00.00; and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Hemphill Bus
Sales, Inc. in the amount of$62,105.00.00 should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Hemphill Bus Sales for the purchase of one (1) thirty-two (32)
passenger Freightliner/Blue Bird Conventional body bus in the amount of $62,105.00 be
accepted by the City of Beaumont.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this thew day of
1997.
