BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with the
City of Beaumont, the City of Nederland and Jefferson County to jointly pursue the creation
and establishment of an enterprise zone and to share in the payment of the expenses
incurred in establishing such zone proportionately as shown in the attached agreement.
The agreement is substantially in the form attached hereto as Exhibit "A".

INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT
The Cities of Beaumont and Nederland. Texas(the`Cities"), and Jefferson County.Texas(the
'County*),do hereby agree to jointly pursue the creation and establishment of an enterprise Zone and
to share in the payment of the expenses Incurred In establishing such zone proportionately, as follows:
The City of BesunwWs Share of Expenses.The proportion of the expenses to be paid by the
City of Beaumont shag be in the same proportion as the number of acres in said zone within the city
limits of Beaumont bears to the total number of acres in said zone,to-wk.
Total expenses x No. Of acres in zone within city limits I Total acres in zone
The City of Nedertand's Share of Expenses.The proportion of the expenses to be paid by the
City of Nederland shalt be in the same proportion as the number of acres in said zone within the city
limits of Nederland bears to the total number of acres in said Zone,to-wit-
Total expenses x No. Of acres in zone within city limits i Total acres in zone
The County's Share of Expenses. The proportion of the expenses to be paid by County shall be
in the same proportion as the number of acres in said zone not within the city limits of Beaumont or
Nederland bears to the total number of acres in said zone,to-wit:
Total expenses x No.Of acres in zone not within city limits/Total acres in zone
The entities shall each count the BeaumOnttNederiand/Jefferson County Enterprise Zone as
one of three enterprise zone deeignat(ons albwed to be nominated for state enterprise zone
designation within its respective jurisdiction under the Texas Enterprise Zone Rules(Section
176.e(a)(2)(c))-
The Cities and the County"I keep the others informed as to the amounts and purposes of
any expemes to be k=ff ed prior to their incun enee.Any of the parties may terminate this agreement
upon written notice to the others and upon such notice the party giving such notice shall not be liable
for arty expenses thereafter incurred by the other.
