WHEREAS, bids were received on Monday, June 30, 1997 for an annual
contract to provide collection agency services for Municipal Court and Finance/Cash
Management Division; and,
WHEREAS, International Collection Consortium, LTD. of Folsom, Louisiana
submitted a bid in the amount of 19.5% on all miscellaneous and water utility accounts for
the Cash Management Division and Municipal Services Bureau of Austin, Texas submitted
a bid in the amount of 21.9% on all Municipal Court accounts; and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by
International Collection Consortium, LTD. to collect on all miscellaneous and water utility
accounts and the bid submitted by Municipal Services Bureau to collect on all Municipal
Court accounts should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bids submitted by International Collection Consortium, LTD. in the amount of
19.5% on all miscellaneous and water utility accounts for the Cash Management Division
and Municipal Services Bureau in the amount of 21.9% on all Municipal Court accounts
for a period of two (2) years with the option to renew for an additional two (2) year term be
accepted by the City of Beaumont.
