WHEREAS, on May 13, 1997, City Council awarded a contract to Clark-Tech
Environmental, Inc. for the asbestos abatement of a structure located at 3500 Chaison in the
amount of$54,475.00; and,
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 is being requested to cover additional costs for
removal of transite roof panels in the amount of $6,890.00; and
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 will result in an increase in the contract amount
to $61,365.00;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute Change Order No. 1 in
the amount of $6,890.00 to the contract between the City of Beaumont and Clark-Tech
Environmental, Inc.; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby,
authorized to make final payment to Clark-Tech Environmental in the amount of $61,365.00
for the asbestos abatement of the structure located at 3500 Chaison.
