RESOLUTION NO.
WHEREAS, on August 15, 1995, the City Council of the City of Beaumont,
Texas, awarded a contract to Norman Highway Constructors, Inc. in the amount of
$8,200,817.98 for the West Lucas Pavement Widening; and
WHEREAS, during the course of the project, two change orders [Change
Order No. 1 approved by City Council on March 26, 1996 increased the contract by
$45,672.20 and Change Order No. 2 issued May 30, 1996 decreased the contract by
$814.00], Change Order No. 3 in the amount of $100,085.76 [increasing the contract
amount to $8,345,761.94] is required to adjust the estimated quantities to reflect quantities
actually used during the performance of the project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby authorized, to execute a Change Order No.
3 in the amount of$100,085.76. The project, as stated above, be and the same is herein
accepted and the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to make final payment in
the amount of$421,568.93 to Norman Highway Constructors, Inc.
