WHEREAS, on Monday, June 9, 1997, bids were received for furnishing all labor,
materials, equipment and supplies necessary to construct a fourteen (14) acre solid waste
disposal cell at the City's landfill in compliance with the plans and specification meeting
the federally mandated "Subtitle D" regulations; and,
WHEREAS, Canoma Construction Company, Inc., Groves, Texas, submitted the
low bid in the amount of $1,030,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Canoma
Construction Company, Inc. of Groves in the amount of $1,030,000.00, should be
accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Canoma Construction Company, Inc. of Groves in the amount
of$1,030,000.00 for furnishing all labor, materials, equipment and supplies necessary to
construct a fourteen (14) acre landfill in compliance with the plans and specification
meeting the federally mandated "Subtitle D" regulations be accepted by the City of
Beaumont.
