WHEREAS, on December 17, 1997, the City Council of the City of Beaumont,
Texas, awarded a contract to Crain Brothers, Inc. in the amount of $104,300.00 for
improvement at the Tyrrell Park Lift Station; and
WHEREAS, during the course of the project, it was determined that quantities
of unit price bid items to provide for the enlargement of a junction box, extension of 30"
ductile iron spool pipe and tie-in existing sump pump line to the new discharge header
system and necessary appurtenances for completion of the project would have to be
adjusted [total increase of $3,279.00], thus increasing the contract amount to
$107,579.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby authorized, to execute a change order for
$3,279.00 thus increasing the contract amount to $107,579.00 to Crain Brothers, Inc. for
construction and installation of a 63" Discharge Header for improvement at the Tyrrell Park
Lift Station.
