WHEREAS bids were received for the purchase of a laboratory equipment sterilizer
to be used by the Water Utilities Department, Water Production Division; and,
WHEREAS, Thermal Scientific, Inc., Beaumont, Texas submitted a bid in the
amount of $16,877.70 [additional charge for freight of approximately $450] for the
purchase of a laboratory equipment sterilizer; and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Thermal
Scientific, Inc. in the amount of$16,877.70 [additional charge for freight of approximately
$450] should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Thermal Scientific, Inc. for the purchase of a Consolidated
SSR-2A-PB rectangular sterilizer for the amount of $16,877.70 [additional charge for
freight of approximately $450] be accepted by the City of Beaumont, and the City
Manager is hereby authorized to execute a contract for such project.
