WHEREAS sealed bids were received for the purchase of twenty-three (23)
portable radios, fifty-five (55) batteries, and ten (10) mobile radios for use in the Police
Department; and,
WHEREAS, Neches Communications, Inc., Beaumont, Texas submitted a bid in
the amount of$28,277.00 as follows:

and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Neches
Communications, Inc. in the amount of$28,277.00 should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Neches Communications, Inc. in the amount of$28,277.00 for
the purchase of twenty-three (23) portable radios, fifty-five (55) batteries, and ten (10)
mobile radios for use in the Police Department be accepted by the City of Beaumont, and
the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a contract for such project.
