WHEREAS, on Monday, April 7, 1997, bids were received for furnishing all labor,
equipment, materials and supplies for replacing the roof at the Water Production Plant
located at 1550 Pine Street; and,
WHEREAS, G & G Enterprises, Orange, Texas submitted a bid in the amount of
$98,600.00; and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by G & G
Enterprises should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by G & G Enterprises for the amount of$98,600.00 for furnishing
all labor, materials, equipment and supplies necessary for the removal of the existing
concrete tile roof system, gutters and deteriorated wood products and installation of a 24
gauge standing seam metal roof complete with new gutters, fascia trim, soffit trim and
freeze trim on the buildings specified be accepted by the City of Beaumont, and the City
Manager is hereby authorized to execute a contract for such project.
