WHEREAS, one bid was received Monday, April 7, 1997 for the purchase of two (2)
tandem axle cab and chassis equipped with fourteen (14) cubic yard dump bodies for the
Public Works Department, Street and Drainage Division; and,
WHEREAS, Smart's Truck&Trailer Equipment, Inc. submitted a bid in the amount
of$152,936.00 for the purchase of two (2) 1997 Volvo cab and chassis equipped fourteen
(14) cubic yard dump bodies; and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Smart's Truck
& Trailer Equipment, Inc. should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Smart's Truck&Trailer Equipment, Inc. for the purchase of two
(2)Volvo 1997 Volvo cab and chassis equipped fourteen (14) cubic yard dump bodies in
the amount of$152,936.00 be accepted by the City of Beaumont.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the,1 day of
11997.
