WHEREAS, on Monday, March 24, 1997, bids were received for furnishing all
equipment, materials, supplies, labor and supervision to remove and dispose of asbestos
containing materials from the vacant building located at 720 Orleans; and,
WHEREAS, Five Star Remediation, Houston, Texas submitted a bid in the amount
of$33,851.00; and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Five Star
Remediation should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Five Star Remediation in the amount of $33,851.00 for
furnishing all equipment, materials, supplies, labor and supervision to remove and dispose
of asbestos containing materials from the vacant building at 720 Orleans be accepted by
the City of Beaumont.
