WHEREAS, the lawsuit of L. E. Johnson v. City of Beaumont, et al has been
discussed in an Executive Session properly called and held; and,
WHEREAS, the Council desires to authorize the settlement of the lawsuit;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Attorney be, and he is hereby, authorized to settle the lawsuit of L. E.
Johnson v. City of Beaumont, et al in the amount of Fifty Thousand ($50,000) dollars.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the / day of
