WHEREAS, on December 23, 1996, bids were received for the 23rd Street
Pavement Widening Project; and,
WHEREAS, Excavators & Constructors, Inc. submitted a bid in the amount of
$386,537.08; and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Excavators &
Constructors, Inc. should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Excavators & Constructors, Inc. for the 23rd Street Pavement
Widening Project in the amount of$386,537.08 be accepted by the City of Beaumont and
the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to execute a contract for such project.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the day of
1997.
