WHEREAS, Mr. Dick Carey has agreed to convey a Drainage Easement to the City
of Beaumont on his property between Thirteenth and Fourteen Streets and between Rusk
and Angelina Streets in Block 31 of the Van Wormer Second Addition for the negotiated
value of$1,250.00, as described on Exhibit "A" attached hereto; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the purchase of said easement and
is of the opinion that the purchase of said easement of property is necessary and desirable
and that same should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT said easement purchased from Mr. Dick Carey be and the same is hereby, in all
things accepted.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the day of
1997.
