WHEREAS, bids were received on February 10, 1997, for an annual contract for
the purchase of asphalts, oils and emulsions for the Streets and Drainage Division/Public
Works Department; and,
WHEREAS, bids were submitted by Koch Materials Company and Gulf States
Asphalt Co., Inc. as follows:
SS-1 $ .64/gal.
Koch Materials Company
F.O.B. Plantsite RS-2 $ .64/gal.
Port Neches, TX AES-300 $ .70/gal.
AE-P $ .77/gal.

WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bids submitted by the vendors
stated above should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bids submitted by the above-stated vendors for annual contracts for the
purchase of asphalts, oils, and emulsions be accepted by the City of Beaumont.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the day of
