WHEREAS, on January 21, 1997, bids were received for the sale of City-owned
property described as Lot 517, Block 67, Beaumont Addition and Part of Lot 47, Block 6,
Van Wormer Addition (875 College Street); and,
WHEREAS, Eastham Forge, Inc. submitted a bid of$15,000; and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Eastham Forge,
Inc. should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Eastham Forge, Inc. in the amount of $15,000 for the sale of
City-owned surplus property described as Lot 517, Block 67, Beaumont Addition and Part
of Lot 47, Block 6, Van Wormer Addition (875 College Street) be accepted by the City of
Beaumont.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to
execute any and all documents necessary to transfer title of the above mentioned property.
