WHEREAS, the lawsuit of Kenneth Karr, Clara Rivers and Dennis Murray v. City of
Beaumont, et al has been discussed in an Executive Session properly called and held;
and,
WHEREAS, the Council desires to authorize the settlement of the lawsuit;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Attorney be, and he is hereby, authorized to settle the lawsuit of Kenneth
Karr, Clara Rivers and Dennis Murray v. City of Beaumont, et al in the amount of Fifty-
three Thousand and Four Hundred 00/100 ($53,400.00) Dollars.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the t day of
1997.
