WHEREAS, the City of Beaumont executed a one (1) year contract with the
Southeast Texas Community Development Corporation for the construction of
approximately fourteen (14) homes in the Charlton Pollard neighborhood; and,
WHEREAS, that contract by its terms terminated on December 31, 1996; and,
WHEREAS, an extension of the contract is warranted to allow for the completion
and sale of the remaining homes;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to execute a contract extension
with Southeast Texas Community Development Corporation to complete the construction
and sale of the fourteen (14) newly constructed homes in the Charlton Pollard
neighborhood. Said contract to provide for a maximum payment of project costs in the
amount of $210,000 and a payment of administration costs in the amount of$13,478.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont on this the day
of 1997.
