WHEREAS, on December 16, 1996, bids were received for furnishing labor,
supervision, materials, equipment and bonding for the construction of the Elmo Willard
Branch Library; and,
WHEREAS, Epcon, Inc. submitted a bid of $1,322,000; and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Epcon, Inc.
should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Epcon, Inc. for furnishing labor, supervision, materials,
equipment and bonding for the construction of the Elmo Willard Branch Library in the
amount of$1,322,000 be accepted by the City of Beaumont and the City Manager be and
he is hereby authorized to execute a contract for such project.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the day of
1997.
