RESOLUTION NO. 26—
WHEREAS, bids were received for the purchase of two (2) truck chassis each
equipped with a knuckle boom loader and trash hauling body for the Solid Waste
Management Department; and,
WHEREAS, Smart's Truck&Trailer Equipment, Inc. submitted a bid in the amount
of $218,878.82 for the purchase of two (2) Volvo truck chassis each equipped with a
Prentice Model 120 knuckle boom loader and a trash hauling body; and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Smart's Truck
& Trailer Equipment, Inc. should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Smart's Truck &Trailer Equipment, Inc. for the purchase of two
(2) Volvo truck chassis each equipped with a Prentice Model 120 knuckle boom loader and
a trash hauling body in the amount of $218,878.82 be accepted by the City of Beaumont.
