WHEREAS, bids were received December 9, 1996 for an annual contract for
providing unleaded gasoline, both low and mid range octane, and diesel fuel; and,
WHEREAS, Tri-Con, Inc. submitted a bid for tankwagon delivery of diesel and
unleaded gasolines at$+0.0479 per gallon above the weekly average price published for
the area in Oil Price Information Service (O.P.I.S.) and transport deliveries of unleaded
gasoline and diesel fuel at no additional charge above the O.P.I.S. published price; and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Tri-Con, Inc. is
the best bid and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Tri-Con, Inc. for an annual contract for providing gasoline, both
low and mid range octane, and diesel fuel in the above stated amounts be accepted by the
City of Beaumont.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the day of
1996.
