WHEREAS, on November 26, 1996, bids were received for a contract to purchase
cold water meters to be used by the Water Utilities Department, Customer Service
Division; and,
WHEREAS, Schlumberger Industries submitted the following bid:

40 2" PD Pit-Lid Read Meters $306.00 $12,240.00
TOTAL $569,940.00
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Schlumberger
Industries should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Schlumberger Industries for a contract to purchase cold water
meters to be used by the Water Utilities Department, Customer Service Division in the
above stated amounts be accepted by the City of Beaumont and the City Manager be and
he is hereby authorized to execute a contract for such purchase.
