ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 26,
SECTION 26-24 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE
CITY OF BEAUMONT TO AMEND SCHEDULES A AND B IN
SCHOOL ZONES; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY;
PROVIDING FOR REPEAL AND PROVIDING A PENALTY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT-
Section 1.
That Chapter 26, Section 26-24 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Beaumont
be, and the same is hereby, amended as follows:
DELETE FROM SCHEDULE A
STREET DIRECTION OF TRAVEL DESCRIPTION
Blanchette East and West From a point 35 feet west of 7th
Street to a point 50 feet west of
the centerline of Skipwith.
ADD TO SCHEDULE A
STREET DIRECTION OF TRAVEL DESCRIPTION
Blanchette East and West From a point 100 feet east of the
centerline of 6th Street to a point
50 feet west of the centerline of
Skipwith.
Westgate East and West From the centerline of Peyton to a
point 150 feet west of the
centerline of Dowlen Road.
Delete From Schedule B
STREET DIRECTION OF TRAVEL DESCRIPTION
West Virginia East and West From a point 180 feet west of the
centerline of Goliad to a point 50
feet west of the centerline of Usan.
ADD TO SCHEDULE B
STREET DIRECTION OF TRAVEL DESCRIPTION
West Virginia East and West From a point 180 feet west of the
centerline of Goliad to a point 350
feet east of the centerline of St.
Louis.
Section 2.
That if any section, subsection, sentence clause or phrase of this ordinance, or the
application of same to a particular set of persons or circumstances should, for any reason,
be held to be invalid, such invalidity shall not affect the remaining portions of this
ordinance, and, to such end, the various portions and provisions of this ordinance are
declared to be severable.
Section 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are repealed to the
extent of the conflict only.
Section 4.
That any person who violates any provision of this ordinance shall, upon conviction,
be punished, as provided in Section 1-8 of the Code of Ordinances of Beaumont, Texas.
